Can you remember the very first video you played?, what it was?, where it was?, how old you were?

Breakout. My parents sent me away on a camp with my brother when I was 8 because someone at dads work recommended it. Turned out the camp was for troubled children and I learn't how to break into the machine and get free credits/pinch cash. Also learn't how to drop the ball tray in a pool table by getting my arm up inside the machine. Many other things happened but they are best left in the past! My parents have never forgiven themselves, my brother and I came home a week later wearing the same clothes and smelling like dogs. But we had a great time.

Seawolf at a holiday camp in Leysdown around the summer of 1977 I think. I was 7 and amazed by it, IIRC the sound was great on that game. After that I was hooked...

I think it was probably Frogger, Pacman or Donkey Kong. Was addicted to all of them within a few weeks at the age of 7. Although nearly all the games were 5p per play that was a lot to me then! LOL |

Probably something like Seawolf or Space Invaders, most likely Eastbourne or Brighton Pier. |

I 'think' it might have been a crazykong in a tabletop in a cafe when I was in Junior School... either that or Head-On, Pheonix, or Spaceinvaders... I remember being pretty fond of Galaxian... Prior to that I prolly played some of the electro mechanical shooting games / racers, but they dont really count.... Cheers, Col |

Earliest games I can remember playing was in Cornwall on holiday, I can't remember which one was first though. One was a Jail Break cocktail in the clubhouse at the campsite I was staying at. The other one was a Track & Field upright at a restaurant on the seafront at Praa Sands beach.
There may have been ones I played earlier than this but this is as far back as I can remember!

My first 100% recall was Lunar Lander at Flambards in Helston. They had a starnge dome thing on top of a small hill which had all the games in and also a Moon Alien part2? (galaxians) at Poldark mine, I remember they had about 4 of them in a row. Still can remember that Wavey title text

my first (!) was night driver with this huge shiney wheel. I can remember pumping 10p after 10p into it, then going into the "adult" bit (y'know with all the 2p slots) and finding galaxian... All at butlins in wales (be damned if I can pronounce it let alone type it!) Then going back a year later to find star wars, well that was my money spent day in day out for a week. |

Breakout, late 1970's in Bangor, County Down. I remember the amusement arcade being a bit strange as I had to change my decimal coinage into real money before I could play any of the machines. |

My first game was Space Invaders at Clacton way back in the early 80's. This was probably followed up by Pheonix or Galazian if i can remember correctly at a small resort near Clacton. Can't remember the name. Still think they are good games even now.

Umm, no. In a word. And I have had a few or ten too!
Umm, first time I really remember coming across vids would have been the opening of the "Carousel" in Minehead (I was there the day they had Mickey, Donald and Pluto opening it - and have a photo to prove it!). That would probably pitch my first experience of video games round about Cosmic Guerilla, Cosmic Alien, Galaxian, Space Invaders and Space Invaders pinball. Trouble is, while I can pinpoint the kind of thing, my memory is too shot to remember exactly what and when
Oh, Crazy Balloon springs to mind too. Martin. |

I remember playing a moon cresta table in a cafe in filey (east coast, yorks.)
And around the same time, my dad would lift me up to play a quick game of Sea Wolf. (I was too small to reach the scope) |

No idea what it was, but it was more than likely in an arcade in Skeggy, maybe the one on the pier.
