There was a machine running Circus Charlie and a cocktail table beside it running Galaxian in this little pub in Galway my folks used to take me to when i was really wee. Every year they'd change the games in the machines and I ended up growing really fond of all of them. Cause there wasn't much selection (and not much else to do as a kid in a pub) i used to play what they had a lot and actually got quite good at some of them; after having sponged enough 10p's off my folks to buy the machines. First game I ever got really hooked on at home was Crystal Castles on the Atari 2600. I loved that game! :)

First game i played was Pong, my dad bought me a box which plugged into the tv, it had two knobs on it and that was it! oh the joy of black & white! First arcade game was Asteroids, in my local swimming baths, then a space invaders cocktail in a dodgy small "arcade" at the local shops. Remember my mum panicing because she thought i would get -"addicted to those video games" Guess she was right then!! Jc. |

Think it may've been Bruce Lee on the Amstrad something or other, had a green monitor I remember that much
(anyone know what I mean?). First actual arcade game could be either 1942, Robocop, After Burner or Wrestlemania.....They had them all at my local leasure centre at one time or another not sure which I played first though.

My earliest recollection is playing Boot Hill with a mate on holiday in Rhyl or Prestatyn. There was also Bandido that springs to mind but not sure if it was the same time or holiday. I would doubt it tho. My addiction for Vids started with Donkey Kong tho. Kept us fit too... Whoever got to the arcade first got the machine |

The 1st arcade game I ever played was Snow Brothers. Still love it now! It was at my local video rental store. They changed it for a 4 player TMNT machine but they soon got rid of it because we all hung out there all day long without even looking at any videos |

Space invaders original upright type Building in westgate wakefield, about 4 doors down from Boons, It used to be some kind of hardware / spare parts store. Guessing around 1981 so I was about 10 (could be wrong) Caused quite a stir when it arrived, was proberbly the first arcade machine to hit wakefield.

Space Invaders on Hastings Pier(St. Leonards), also there used to be *tons* of cabs at the "Rotunda"(a circular building amazingly ;-) at Folkestone(Kent). Great memories, especially queuing(oh yes) for Star Wars(sitdown/environmental), and there were 2 of 'em! Also loved Astron Belt, Space Raider and Firefox(Laser disc). Cheers, Dave.

First computer game was Bubble Bobble on my brothers pride and joy which was a spectrum 48k First console game was Mario Bros. on the Atari 2600, again my brothers. First arcade game was Yie Ar Kung-Fu, although for some strange reason I always think it was The New Zealand Story and Final Blow as these are the games that got me hooked on arcades. |

The first game I played was Pong around 76 or 77 I think in a pub called The Cheeky Chappie in Kennington - sadly this pub has since been knocked down to make way for housing

I think the first arcade game I played was Centipede in a pub whilst we were having a family meal when I was a kid.
I can still remember hassling my dad for more 10p's :) I can also remember a pub near a walk we went on in Ilkley that had a cocktail Galaxians, and I instantly fell in love with the scrolling star field and was hooked... Shands |

There was a frogger with a starfield on it that I used to play - I realised many many years later it must have been a dodgy galaxian conversion !! - Cheers, Col |
