I feel very old fashioned sticking with SF2:CE - I just couldn't get in to anything after hyper fighting.   :)

Can't deny that, it's all good fun. It's amazing for such a small game it really is so much bigger than meets the eye. There are layers upon layers of game mechanics going on. Still learning new shit after over 20years of play!

Basically, if you're playing someone of equal or slightly better ability, you'll never get bored, the game will never get old. There are seemingly infinite possibilities of battle tactics and eventualities. It's a stunning and superb piece of game design. A fact totally lost on the older, grumpy sods here who blame it for the end of arcade video gaming Tongue.
Put that in your PCB test rig and smoke it!

Trying to get my mame PC set up for ggpo. Looks like I'll need to install anti virus as it'll be going online...I don't like AV it slows a system down.

Hey a I've just got home now. I just use the standard windows firewall for my Mame-PC running XP and I havnt had a problem.

Took me an hour to download a driver for the wireless adaptor, climbing about the floor under pcs and in cabs, then I find out I've got v0.29beta installed. So having to download 030 now at 7.14kbps.. Pathetic. I'll need to set that up likely.. Bloody knackered before I even start..

Ok got it going. Wasted a Honda and a Ryu already. Screen looks shit, what are the settings to get it looking 15k?
Also my control maps need tweaking as sometimes my buttons are opening the menus at the top of the screen.. Seems my light punch corresponds to a control key, how I change that?

You can get the exact resolution if you set to arcade res in options. Hmm I'm not sure why it's bring the windows down like that. Have you put it in full screen with ALT+Enter?

I'll need to have a fiddle, the settings are only available while in game.. I'll need to mess somebody about lol.. I'll get back to it in and hour, need some rest after all this PC and emu shit...

You can mess with stuff like that in the emulator. If you look in the GGPO directory there should be a file called ggpofba.exe and you can just play it like a normal 1player game and tweak away, then load up GGPO again and it will all have saved

My fave of all time is SSF2-TNC , love the music and the game, close second is SF2 Champion Edition, and....... not just because I own it but EX2 is pretty cool in its own right.

Had a few matches, I much prefer the gfx to HDR.. It's limited though, can't change character if you win etc.. But I like the chat function..
