I signed up to GGPO years ago but never bothered with setting it all up, but since there is some activity going on, I'd like to be a part of it too.

Yeah I'm Smraedis on there, always play as Purple Chun. Never been that great on ST compared to other fighting games.
Currently playing it on my MAME setup which doesn't look so great right now, which I'll sort out eventually!

ST Chun in shite compared to HDR Chun. ST Chun has only one SBK but HDR Chun has countless more SBK's. (Spinning bird kicks- forward, backward, on the spot, mid air, after headstomp, off the wall, arc shapes..) SBKs became a big part of my game.. It's all missing in ST!

I actually prefer how she was in non turbo SSF2, but I'm not going to use any excuses!
Got 3S working on it too, is a completely different game though.

All these young 'uns and their talk of online play and MAME hoodjamaflips. When I was a lad, we had the PAL Super Nintendo version with big black borders, 20% slower than the arcade, we paid £64.99 for the privilege of owning a 16 megabit cartridge, AND we were grateful for it.

I stuck with that until I got my cab in February. If only I'd known sooner how easy it is to have your own arcade machine…

Getting the snes version as a kid was like being in heaven!

Further proof if any needed that it was not sf2 that killed the arcades, but it was the advance of console home gaming, that and the lack of innovation from all of the manufacturers that sought to try and copy the bandwagon, rather then make their own.

Young uns?! :) I'm pretty sure most of the people on this thread have been there from the beginning. Na'h, 60htz imported SFWW here for the cheap sum of £100. I used to pitty the PAL Snes owners with their 17.5% slower games. Grey imports all the way! I'm 36 this year btw :(

Nice set-up Trev. How are the RiverService panels btw? I'm after an Astro one myself and this looks like the only way I'm gonna get one. 1player panels are so tricky to source. I wish they didn't put that extra 7th button on there though.

Yeah I'm younger but I still prefer older games.
Fighting game wise it's usually Guilty Gear or Tekken, I get commented on how I don't really play other fighting games!
